2. Definitions
- "Festival" means the Aussie Christmas BBQ Festival event held at Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, Australia.
- "Website" means bbqchristmasfest.com and all associated subdomains.
- "Attendee" or "You" means any person who accesses the Website or attends the Festival.
- "Organiser", "We", "Us", or "Our" refers to the operators of the Festival and Website.
- "Content" means all text, images, graphics, videos, and other materials on the Website.
3. Festival Admission
3.1 General Admission Terms
- Admission to the Aussie Christmas BBQ Festival is completely free of charge.
- No tickets, registration, or advance booking is required for general entry.
- The Festival is open to all members of the public, subject to these Terms.
- Festival operating hours are 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM on the event day (Saturday, 20 December 2025).
3.2 Right of Admission
The Organisers reserve the right to:
- Refuse admission to any person without giving a reason.
- Request any person to leave the Festival grounds if they breach these Terms or behave in a manner that is disruptive, offensive, or dangerous.
- Conduct bag searches and security checks at entry points.
- Set capacity limits and temporarily close entry when capacity is reached.
3.3 Admission Restrictions
Entry may be refused to persons who:
- Appear to be intoxicated by alcohol or drugs
- Are in possession of alcohol, drugs, or prohibited items
- Behave in an aggressive, threatening, or antisocial manner
- Are banned from the venue or previous events
- Refuse to comply with security instructions
4. Family-Friendly Policy
The Aussie Christmas BBQ Festival is designed to be a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for families and people of all ages. All Attendees must:
- Behave respectfully and courteously towards other Attendees, staff, and volunteers
- Refrain from using offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or threatening language or behaviour
- Supervise children in their care at all times (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)
- Respect the personal space and belongings of others
- Follow the instructions of Festival staff and security personnel
- Report any safety concerns, suspicious behaviour, or incidents to staff immediately
The Organisers have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or violence of any kind. Any person engaging in such behaviour will be asked to leave and may be reported to the police.
5. Alcohol-Free Event Policy
🚫 The Aussie Christmas BBQ Festival is a strictly ALCOHOL-FREE event.
This policy is fundamental to our family-friendly environment. The following rules apply:
- No BYO Alcohol: Bringing your own alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
- Confiscation: Any alcohol found at entry points will be confiscated and disposed of. It will not be returned.
- Intoxication: Persons who appear intoxicated will be refused entry or asked to leave.
- On-Site Sales: No alcohol is sold or served at the Festival.
- Alternatives: A wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including soft drinks, juices, water, and mocktails, are available from our food vendors.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all families.
6. BBQ Zone Usage
The Festival provides free public BBQ stations for Attendees. By using these facilities, you agree to the following:
6.1 General BBQ Rules
- Use BBQ stations for their intended cooking purpose only.
- Bring your own food to cook – raw meat, seafood, vegetables, etc.
- Bring your own cooking utensils, plates, and cleaning materials.
- Never leave a lit BBQ unattended.
- Allow the BBQ to cool before leaving.
6.2 Safety Requirements
- Supervise children at all times when near BBQ areas (minimum 2 metres distance for unsupervised children).
- Do not move or tamper with BBQ equipment.
- Keep flammable materials away from BBQs.
- Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment to staff.
- In case of fire emergency, step back and alert staff immediately.
6.3 Cleanliness and Sharing
- Clean the BBQ plate after use using the provided tools.
- Dispose of fat and waste properly in designated bins.
- Be considerate – share stations fairly during busy periods.
- Limit cooking time to 30 minutes during peak periods to allow others to use the facilities.
7. Safety and Security
7.1 General Safety Rules
- Follow all instructions from Festival staff, security personnel, and emergency services.
- Stay within designated Festival areas and observe all signage.
- Keep pathways and emergency exits clear at all times.
- Report any hazards, injuries, or incidents to staff immediately.
- In an emergency, follow instructions and proceed to the nearest exit.
7.2 Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted at the Festival:
- Alcohol and illegal drugs
- Glass containers (except baby bottles)
- Weapons of any kind (including knives with blades over 7cm)
- Fireworks, flares, or explosives
- Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles
- Amplified sound equipment
- BBQ equipment brought from home (use provided stations only)
- Tents, marquees, or large shade structures (small beach umbrellas permitted)
7.3 Pets
- Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
- Provide water for your pet and ensure they have shade.
- Aggressive animals will be asked to leave.
- Guide dogs and assistance animals are welcome regardless of these restrictions.
7.4 Sun Safety
The Festival takes place in summer. We strongly recommend:
- Applying SPF 50+ sunscreen regularly
- Wearing a hat, sunglasses, and protective clothing
- Staying hydrated – drink plenty of water
- Taking breaks in shaded areas
- Watching for signs of heat exhaustion
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Website Content
All Content on the Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of the Organiser or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8.2 Permitted Use
You may view, download, and print Content from the Website for your personal, non-commercial use only, provided you do not modify the Content and retain all copyright and other proprietary notices.
8.3 Photography and Recording at the Festival
- Personal photography and video recording for non-commercial use is permitted.
- Professional or commercial photography requires prior written permission.
- By attending the Festival, you consent to being photographed or filmed by the Organisers for promotional purposes.
- If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform staff, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
9. Liability and Disclaimers
9.1 Attendance at Own Risk
Attendance at the Festival is at your own risk. While we take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of Attendees, the Organisers shall not be liable for:
- Personal injury (except where caused by our negligence)
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
- Adverse weather conditions
- Actions of other Attendees or third parties
9.2 Website Disclaimer
The Website and its Content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Website will be available uninterrupted or error-free.
9.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organisers' total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Festival or Website shall not exceed £100.

- As the Festival is free to attend, no refunds or compensation will be provided in the event of cancellation or changes.

For Attendees in Australia, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
